The bursa is a fluid-filled sac surrounding joints of the body and aims to protect the muscles, ligaments, tendons and skin from friction with the bone
However, sometimes these pouches become inflamed painful condition which is known as bursitis.
The main causes of bursitis include:
- Injury blows or bruises,
- Repeated pressure on the bursa
- Excessive wear due to the completion of an activity not normally
- Irritation of calcium deposits in the walls of the bags
The most common areas where you have bursitis are the shoulders, elbows, hips, knees and heel.
Importantly, bunions, which can be inherited through genes or caused by inappropriate shoes, are a form of bursitis that may require correction by surgery.
Folk Remedies
Remedy for bursitis # 1: Stir two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar and two of pure honey in a glass of water and take it with every meal.
Bursitis Remedy # 2: Boil one tablespoon of cayenne pepper to two cups of apple cider vinegar for 10 minutes and use the liquid to a warm compress.
Remedy for bursitis # 3: Mix in boiling water one teaspoon of comfrey, flaxseed is crushed and then added a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Then sprinkle the dough between pieces of gauze and applied to the sore area after having smeared olive oil to protect skin.
Remedy for bursitis # 4: Spread castor oil on the affected joint. Then be covered with flannel and should be kept warm with hot towels. When pain is no longer so acute, once daily is the joint massage with warmed olive oil to relieve pain and help prevent recurrence of bursitis.
Bursitis Remedy # 5: Mix 3 drops of essential oil of rosemary, pine and marjoram with 1 tablespoon almond oil and gently apply twice daily on the affected part.
Recommendations
People suffering from bursitis should follow the following recommendations:
- Eating healthy can be beneficial to include generous amounts of carrots, citrus fruits, tomatoes, vegetables and take a daily multi vitamin / mineral supplement with additional vitamin A and B.
- Keep moving light the area during the acute phase of bursitis, it should be resting the affected joint, although without it being totally immobilized. Then, when sharp passing, we recommend simple exercises like these:
- If you have bursitis in man, place your hand on the wall and should be done walking fingers along it, up as high as possible without stretching too much.
- Another exercise that helps people with bursitis in the shoulder is to make the pendulum, bending, standing back and letting the arm swing back and forth like a pendulum, gradually increasing the arc.
- For bursitis in the hip or leg, we recommend massaging a two-inch area between the ankle bone and the beginning of the heel pad.
- Keep warm area to promote healing, folk healers recommend keeping the affected joint hotter than usual at night, wrapping the knee in flannel or sleeping with a sweater.
- Remove shoes that pinch if you have bursitis in the heel is probably because you left your shoes do not fit. It is therefore advisable to remove these shoes.
- Using careful protectors for elbows and knees as the case and avoid lying down with his elbow or crawl on their knees.
